See how we are finding Purpose in 2020:

Northeast UMC believes that Black Lives Matter. We seek to center the voices of black, indigenous, and people of color, and to follow their leadership in seeking justice for George Floyd and all people who have been harmed by police brutality. We commit to doing our own work to reckon with and heal from our internalized white supremacy, and to co-create God's racially just and equitable kin-dom of shalom.

“I used to think that top global environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought that with 30 years of good science we could address these problems. I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed, and apathy, and to deal with these we need a spiritual and cultural transformation.” Β
~Gus Speth, American Environmental Lawyer and Advocate
